Rove Downtown. Rove Downtown.

Rove Downtown, part of Emaar Hospitality Group, has partnered with STEM for Kids to host STEM Saturday camps for kids starting December 1, 2018.

The camp is in line with the hotel brand’s ongoing efforts to make a worthwhile impact on the local community through positive and beneficial initiatives, a statement said.

STEM for Kids was established in USA in 2010 and began its Dubai operations in 2015. The programmes are created by engineers, educators and industry insiders to deliver a hands-on approach that makes learning fun and engaging for kids. Through the STEM camps, Rove aims to highlight how important it is for children to learn scientific principles that can be applied to real-life scenarios, the statement added.

The STEM activities will cover a range of disciplines such as civil and mechanical engineering, electrical & environmental engineering, aerospace engineering, computer programming robotics, etc. The activities will expose participants to the latest technology, and learn about important STEM principles

Commenting on the partnership, Rove Hotels corporate director of operations Paul Bridger said: “At Rove Hotels, we believe in empowering Rovers of all ages and education is the most powerful tool of all. Through our partnership with STEM Saturday Camps, we can give children the freedom to utilise their creativity to solve problems and challenges in a fun, exciting environment, which, in turn, benefits the wider community in the long run.”

The programme offers parents flexible payment options. Those staying at a Rove property can make use of the one-day offer for AED 250 (US $68). Sign-up for the programme can be done at www.STEMforKids.ae
