The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel Residence & Spa, Bahrain recently completed a 12-month renovation on the property. The million-dollar project included the modernisation of the lobby, reception area, rooms and hotel restaurants.

The hotel, which opened in 1981 and houses 246 guest rooms and suites, incorporated a new blue and beige interior across the hotel and rooms were modernised with the addition of Apple TV, sensor lighting and bedside docking stations, a statement said.

A new café called Royal Café has been added to the lobby space, offering afternoon teas and desserts. Olivos Brasserie has also been given a complete refurbishment with new interiors for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Commenting on the renovations, hotel general manager Kosta Kourotsidis said: “We are delighted to complete the comprehensive renovation of our hotel. We are celebrating a new stage in our hotel’s history with the launch of a modern yet elegant interior design to create the perfect environment for our new and existing guests. Besides being tastefully designed, we are very proud that the rooms have been upgraded with the new in-room technology to meet the needs of the modern traveller.”
