Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the brand’s first Hyatt-branded hotel in Ethiopia, its seventh in Africa.

This move follows on from the company’s previous statement of doubling its footprint in Africa within the next five years.

Located  centrally in Meskel Square,  the 188- room Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa features a total of six dining outlets, 12 Regency suites, two executive suites, one presidential suite and one, four-bedroom royal presidential suite.

The hotel also features six restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool, and meeting space.

Speaking about the opening, Heddo Siebs, general manager, Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa, said: “We are excited to celebrate the opening of Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa and to introduce the brand to Ethiopia.”
