Hassan Abdallah, Raffles Dubai’s new executive chef, started his career when he was just 14 years old.

 

Hasan, who has 30 years of expertise and knowledge on oriental and international cuisine, started as a Sous Chef in Al Naser restaurant in Beirut, Lebanon. He then moved to one of the busiest districts in Cairo, Egypt, to prepare Lebanese specialties in Al Dabke restaurant for two years. He worked in the United Arab Emirates between 1997 and 2006 in various roles at the Metropolitan Beach Hotel and Metropolitan Palace in Dubai before joining the Kempinski Ajman for five years as Chef de Cuisine in charge of banquets followed by Kempsinki Mall of Emirates as part of the pre-opening team as Chef de Cuisine for the all-day dining outlet.

His career highlight was working at the Sharq Village & Spa Resort in Doha, operated by Ritz Carlton for 11 years where he joined the pre-opening team as a Chef de Cuisine in 2006 and was subsequently promoted to Executive Sous Chef in 2008 and Executive Chef in 2011.

In 2017, Hassan opened a family business restaurant in Malmo, Sweden, offering Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine, catering to business lunches by day and fine dining by night. The restaurant is currently managed by his partner.  He also participated in a global Culinary Art Event in Seoul, South Korea, representing the Middle East amongst the best chefs in the Ritz Carlton group worldwide.
