Johny Zakhem, Accor’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region has more than three decades of hospitality experience.

 

Zakhem has held senior finance and business support roles across Africa, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, India and Asia Pacific. Based in Dubai, he will be part of the Accor Middle East & Africa leadership team, reporting to CEO Mark Willis, as well as being a member of Accor’s Global Finance Committee in Paris.

Before this role, Zakhem spent the majority of his career with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), most recently as vice president operations finance for India, the Middle East & Africa, based in Dubai.

Prior to this, he spent several years in China where he provided finance and business support for over 300 properties.

Zakhem holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Business from the Lebanese American University in Beirut. He is also a certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and a UAE Chartered Accountant.
