In his dual role, Pascal Duchauffour overseas the operations of hotels in Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Sharm El Sheikh for prestigious brand The Ritz-Carlton Hotels & Resorts.
As well as his responsibilities in corporate office and general management, Duchaffour has also been instrumental in driving the brand’s growth and was closely involved in the recent signings of new hotels in Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Cairo.
Previously, Duchauffour was GM at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa, which is known as Bahrain’s best hotel and responsible in part to the positioning of the destination as a whole, and he has also held postings for the company in Singapore, Shanghai and San Francisco.

Inspired by his parents to follow his dreams, Duchauffour aims now to establish Ritz-Carlton as “the market leader and a strong supporter of the developments in the destinations we are in”.
Juggling a dual role is something that comes easily to Duchauffour; in his first job as a page boy at the Hotel Meurice in Paris he would finish his morning shift, assist the front drive team in the evening and then learn the night auditing process from midnight onwards.
And he is an adrenaline junkie with a passion for bikes — he has raced on Bahrain’s F1 track — and a secret dream to coach a sports team.
