Ulrich T. Eckhardt oversees the 13 Kempinski Hotels currently operating in the region, including the world-famous Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi and Kempinski Hotel Ajman, which he not only launched in 1998 but continues to manage despite his regional promotion.
Since then, he has led the development from the ground-up of the portfolio and achieved worldwide acclaim for several of them, such as the inclusion of Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea, Jordan, in the World’s 50 best hotels by Forbes Traveler (US) in 2008.
Responsible now for spearheading Kempinksi’s expansion in the Middle East, Eckhardt plans to more than double the portfolio to 30 hotels by the end of 2012
