Hotelier Middle East revealed the shortlist for the Hotelier Middle East Awards 2009.
There were five finalists for 18 of the categories and 10 finalists for Hotelier’s Unsung Hero of the Year, meaning that in total, 100 hoteliers had to wait to see if they won a sought-after award.
Having been whittled down from more than 1500 nominations by the Hotelier Middle East team, each shortlisted nominee had already beaten stiff competition to make it to the final five.

The shortlist was presented to the independent judging panel for the Hotelier Middle East Awards, with the judges debating each nomination in full to determine the winners.
This year, for the first time, the judges also selected two Highly Commended nominees from each category, who were also recognised at the awards’ ceremony, which was sponsored by fino International.
