Media One Hotel has appointed Sebastien Noat as operations manager.

Noat will be responsible for the development and implementation of the hotel’s F&B concepts as well as overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s operation.

Noat’s immediate focus is to introduce a new approach to F&B and to position Media One as the ultimate new hang out in Dubai, especially for those based in and around Media City.

Speaking about Noat’s appointment, Cora De Conceicao-Stuart, general manager of Media One, commented: “Sebastien is perhaps one of the most ambitious, energetic and creative people I have come across. He is always on the go. With his depth and breadth of experience across food and beverage operations, marketing, PR, entertainment and events, it is exciting to have him join our team. I, for one, am looking forward to all the new ideas he plans to introduce to Media One Hotel and I am confident our guests will too!”

Noat, speaking about his appointment, said: “This is a great opportunity. Media One Hotel is a going to be such a huge hit and I cannot wait to launch some of the great ideas we have in mind. My first area of priority will be to get the fundamentals absolutely right: quality service, innovative concepts all delivered by great people. Once this is in place, we can really start to have some fun.”

He continued: “We want to always surprise customers with the unexpected. We must keep everything we do fresh, new and up to date – thankfully this is not a typical hotel, we want to be different and we want to keep the creativity alive. It’s all about continually reinventing ourselves and delivering new concepts to make sure we remain relevant to our guests.”

Noat concluded: “We are confident that the hotel’s bars and restaurants will become hip and trendy spots for the fast moving, creative and cutting edge crowd based in Media City. It’s easy to see the cafes and bars being used as a regular hang out, whether it’s for business dealings or as an after work chill out zone.”

Before joining Media One Hotel, Noat was based in Beijing, China where he honed his professional expertise. Within a three year period he created the concepts, designs, launch plans and opening of three very different nightclubs, Bling, Block8 and LAN Club, that each won the CITY WEEK-END ‘Best Club of the Year Award’. An authoritative nightlife publication in both Beijing and Shanghai, the CITY WEEK-END awards are managed through a public and reader poll.

Prior to his move to China, Noat was director of food and beverage at the Shangri La Dubai.

During this period he won four Time Out awards for the hotel and opened iKandy, a now well established and popular nightlife brand.

His tenure with the Shangri La Hotels Group includes directorial positions in Thailand, Malaysia and China. His vast experience also includes a stint as director of food and beverage at The Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort in Monaco, where he directed the largest resort F&B operations in France, as well as with the Ritz-Carlton Hotels Group in the US Virgin Islands, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
