Southern Sun Al Manzil Hotel has claimed top spot on TripAdvisor’s Popularity Index for hotels in Dubai.
The tourist website, which measures overall traveller satisfaction based on ratings, reviews and other sources, ranked Al Manzil Hotel (150 reviews) at the top of a list of 370 hotels in Dubai
The hotel is also the only four-star property to feature in the Popularity Index’s top 10 and was also voted the Top Business Hotel in Dubai in the TripAdvisor Business Popularity Index 2009, a position it continues to occupy.

Southern Sun Middle East managing director Richard Weilers said achieving the number one position on TripAdvisor’s Popularity Index was “recognition of our efforts as it is based on our customer’s reviews”.
“Their (guests) valued feedback is confirmation of our commitment to excellence in our service product,” Weilers said.
“While Southern Sun has garnered numerous industry accolades in the past few years, receiving this vote of confidence from our guests is a strong incentive to our staff to keep up the good work and maintain the reputation we have been building since we entered the market in 2007.”
Grosvenor House West Marina Beach by Le Meridien, Dubai (321 reviews) was second on theTripAdvisor list with Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa (822 reviews) taking third spot.
Mina A' Salam at Madinat Jumeirah (457) came in fourth and Dar Al Masyaf at Madinat Jumeirah (217) fifth.
