HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan has been named winner of the 2010 Leadership Award ahead of the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference in May.
He was nominated for the award, which was last year won by Dubai World chairman Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, by the 50-strong panel of industry leaders on the AHIC Advisory Board.
Al Nahyan, a member of the Abu Dhabi ruling family, holds several key roles in the fields of hospitality, tourism, arts and culture.

Most notably, he was appointed chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) on its establishment in September 2004 and has since steered its development.
He is also chairman of Tourism Development & Investment Company, chairman of the Abu Dubai Authority for Culture & Heritage and chairman of Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company.
In Al Ain, Al Nahyan is also Under Secretary at the Court of the Ruler’s Representative for the Eastern Region and of the recently-formed Eastern Region Development Committee. He was previously chairman of the Al Ain Economic Development and Tourism Promotion Authority.
In addition, Al Nahyan serves on the boards of both the Abu Dhabi Environment Agencyand Etihad Airways. He is also a member of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi Emirate.
The Award will be presented at AHIC 2010, which will be held at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai from May 1 to3.
