The Kessler Collection hotel group has announced that seven of its independent properties across the US will join Marriott International’s newest brand portfolio The Autograph Collection.

Marriott International president and chief operating officer Arne Sorenson said: “We are thrilled to launch the Autograph Collection with such a distinguished group of hotels.”

“Each Kessler property offers a truly unique guest experience and fits perfectly with the positioning of the Autograph Collection – independent hotels that represent an expansive range of categories for distinct life experiences in dynamic destinations.”
Announced at the American Lodging Investment Summit, the launch marks the beginning of Marriott’s strategy to open a further twenty five properties worldwide this year.

The properties are located in San Diego, North Caroline, Georgia, Florida and New Mexico and are expected to officially join Marriott International in April.

Chief executive officer of the The Kessler Collection Richard Kessler said: “The Autograph Collection gives us a tremendous opportunity to leverage Marriott’s industry leading global reservations system, and strong customer outreach through their ecommerce and sales and marketing platforms.”
