Raffles Dubai has announced the appointment of Sue Wheatley as director of sales & marketing.

Sue will oversee the daily operations of the sales, marketing and events departments and bring her expertise of the regional market to enhance Raffles Dubai’s reputation as one of the leading luxury hotels in the GCC.

An English native, Sue has more than 12 years of local and international hospitality experience.

Some of her previous roles included director of commercial development, global sales for the Jumeirah Group and director of business development and marketing for Burj Al Arab, earning her valuable experience and contacts both in the tourism and commercial sector.

Sue has always been active within the community too. She was elected on the committee for the British Business Group, was a founder member of the Capital Club in DIFC and has also been involved with the Dubai World Cup, Dubai Desert Classic, IMF 2003 World Bank and many high profile events.

Said Sue: ‘I am thrilled to take on this new challenge. The name Raffles is synonymous with refined luxury, impeccable hospitality and inimitable service. Joining this company is a very exciting opportunity and my priority will be to ensure the reinforcement of Raffles Dubai’s positioning on the global map.’
