Cheval Residences has been given the go-ahead to develop a new nine-storey building, Three Quays, which will be located adjacent to the Tower of London on the banks of the River Thames.
The firm says the unit will be completed by April 30, 2013.

Work is scheduled to commence on April 14 at the site - which has been derelict for more than 20 years - with the demolition of the site’s existing building, an old office block from the 1960s.
“Located next to a World Heritage Site, Three Quays is currently the only major residential riverside development taking place on the north bank in Zone One,” said a spokesperson for the company, who added that the project will be “hugely prominent”.
The glass and limestone-clad exterior design, by 3DReid architects, is meant to complement the Tower of London and will include 161 luxury one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments as well as three commercial spaces.
Forme Design will be at the helm of the interior design of the residence while William Pye, a water sculptor, will create a prominent water feature.
According to Cheval, sustainability will play a large part of the development and 3DReid’s architectural design; such items as solar control glass, hardwood balcony floors from sustainable sources, energy-efficient aliminium “brise soliel” and low-voltage halogen lighting will be utilised in the daily running of the building.
