Five nominees have been shortlisted for the Hotelier Middle East Awards Procurement Manager of the Year.
The award rocognises a procurement manager who has excelled in their role this year, and the shortlist was chosen from a high number of entries.

Rajan has been with IHG for the last 32 years. He has always carried out his duties with passion, dedication & grace. He has worked in 12 different positions. Rajan’s name has been proposed to Guinness World records for not requesting any sick leave throughout his career. He is also known among his colleagues as 24/7.
Ranjit Sharma, purchasing manager, Dusit Thani Dubai
Ranjit Sharma ‘s contributions to the financial well-being of the hotel, which he guards like his own, is exemplary while his contributions to the emotional well-being of his staff and colleagues are no less immense.
Darvi Varghese, cluster materials manager, Danat Hotel & Resort, Division of National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels
He is very good at work with the helping nature and shares his knowledge between colleagues. He is very punctual in his work and used to work long hours to set up his department. He even works on his off days and work long hours to complete his work and help others.
Grace Flores – Sanchez, purchasing assistant, Doha Marriott hotel
Grace Flores-Sanchez deserves to win the Award because she is highly professional with a personal touch: she is the heart, soul, smile and brain of the Procurement department at the Doha Marriott hotel.
Thajudeen Hafisdeen, materials manager, Dar Al Tawhid InterContinental
Hafis is one of the highly competent procurement managers with full of experience and knowledge who has tremendously contributed towards success of the hotel.
The winner will be announced at the Hotelier Middle East Awards, which will be held at the Madinat Jumeirah Resort on October 14.
