Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat celebrated its Silver Jubilee in style, transforming its atrium lobby in to a venue for the evening’s event.
The 25th Anniversary celebrations, which were held on October 5, marked a quarter of a century of business for the hotel — the vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, who wanted it to be a Palace to his guests of the Government as well as to international visitors to Oman.
The celebratory evening began with speeches from Martin van Kan, General Manager and Director of Operations for IHG Oman, and the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, His Excellency Mohammad Al Thooby were presented.

The main focus of the speeches was to celebrate the rich history of the hotel, and the important role it has played in the History of Oman, and the development of tourism to the country.
Celebrating the Silver Jubilee were guests — including Government dignitaries, Ambassadors and heads of key corporations — who enjoyed entertainment from world class Omani nationals, including the lead harpist of the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra and Salha Al Busaidy and her band.
The month of October marks a period of celebrations for the hotel, and to mark the celebrations, it has planned a one month long series of gourmet delights featuring the Al Bustan Palace Culinary team, a chocolatier from Valrhona and world renowned grape farmers/growers.
