Ebrahim Malekzadeh, managing director from Esadore International presented Wanpen Ngechom from Al Qasr, Madinat Jumeirah with the award for Spa Person of the Year at the Hotelier Middle East Awards on Thursday.
Wanpen impressed the judges with her level of qualifications and her business acumen.
Clients consistently re-book with her and her treatment to retail ratio is exceptional. Her first love is as a therapist, however, and in this regard she is described as Talise Spa’s “shining star”.

Wanpen said the most rewarding part of job was when her guests came back to see her.
"I take of my guests very well. The clients are like my friends and my family. I even have guests from other countries like Russia that always come back and see me. The best advice I have is to treat your guests very well, and even if they try another spa they will always remember you and come back to you."
Wanpen said he dream was to open her own spa in her home town of Hua Hin in Thalland.
Sunanda Marasinghe, Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City and Jacopo Rositani, Armani Hotel Dubai were both Highly Commended.
