Hospitality Management Holdings (HMH) will bring staff training to the forefront in 2011 with the establishment of a new training facility.

HMH CEO Michel Noblet said: “We are in the process of setting up a training facility that will fulfill the training requirements of our group along with the industry.

“The hotel business has grown to be a science and demands skilled personnel as much or more than any other business. The real secret to success in our industry is providing the best “guest experience”. That often translates to how a staff member caters to a guest’s needs, which, in turn, depends on how well the staff member is trained. Our in-depth training programmes cater to every segment of hotel business, from waiter to manager.”

The facility will help support HMH’s hotel pipeline, which for 2011 alone comprises 15 hotels totaling 2400 rooms — which equals 40% of the group’s existing supply.

New openings will include Coral International Doha, Corp Amman in Jordan and five hotels under the Ewa Hotel Apartments brand in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Noblet said: “There is plenty on the drawing board. Our vision for the future is to be the first choice for our guests.

“To achieve this we have invested heavily into the expansion of our facilities such as an extremely powerful central reservation system and highly advanced QMS and CRM systems. This will also help us to develop our franchise business,” he added.
