Former International Monitory Fund chief Dominique Strauss Kahn was heckled by housekeeping staff from hotels across New York as he pleaded not guilty to seven counts of sexual assault in a New York City courtroom on Monday.
The protestors shouted "shame on you" as the defendant walked in and out of the building.
To show support for the woman at the centre of the scandal, a hotel chambermaid said: "I'm here to show support, to make sure that the hotel workers are safe."

Another added: "We are here to support the lady that was assaulted because it could happen to any other housekeeper in New York."
Lawyers on both sides of the high profile case are adamant that their client will be vindicated and promised to fight a tough battle.
A discovery phase will now take place where the prosecution will reveal what evidence they have and both sides will meet again on July 18.
