Presented with the award at the glittering ceremony last night, Nuran Acar was praised by the judges for her loyalty and passion for Hilton Hotels & Resorts and her customer care that goes way above and beyond the call of duty.

They called her the go-to girl for everything from housekeeping expertise to motivational management tips, and as a result, her team holds the hotel’s highest Hilton Quality Assurance score.

Speaking about winning her award, she said: “I'm so surprised. I was so surprised to even be nominated. I won the award in 2004, and if you'd have asked me then I thought I would have been retired by now!

"Working in the job keeps me feeling young and fit, so who knows, maybe I'll still be doing it in another 10 years. I started with Hilton in 1985, and I will definitely end my career with Hilton.”

The highly-commended award in this category goes to Mamdouh Salem from Raffles Dubai.
