Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa has partnered with 'WaterCooled' to open a new watersports centre at the property in March.

WaterCooled, which runs watersports centres located at upscale hotels offering equipment and instruction, will provide classes run by its staff, all trained to Royal Yachting Association standards, covering sports from wind surfing and water skiing to dinghy sailing and kayaking.

Lessons  at the new centre will start in March for all age ranges and skill levels, with the centre targeting hotel guests, day guests and Club Joumana users.

As well as individual lessons, there will also be group and school instruction classes available.

Watercooled managing director Tim Adams said: “This is an exciting new phase for Watercooled. By bringing one of our centres to the award-winning Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa we are offering the international guests within the hotel, together with the local residents something truly unique to Dubai.

“We hope to attract guests at the hotel and visitors who live locally who have never tried watersports to come and enjoy the Watercooled experience. Or for the experienced, we want our club to be a place where they can come and enjoy themselves, try out the great kit, meet like-minded sailors for a bit of a chat and also take part in some weekly dinghy racing”.

Fredrik Reinisch, general manager of Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, added: “The new cutting-edge watersports centre will make an outstanding addition to the facilities at our resort. We pride ourselves on being a family resort and believe our partnership with Watercooled adds to our resort ethos.

“The contemporary and fun design of the centre plus expert tuition, high calibre equipment and welcoming staff, will make the club a very popular place to enjoy, participate and relax in.”
