The winners of this years’ Time Out Restaurant Awards were revealed last night (March 26) at Conrad Dubai.

The shortlist was spread across 20 categories representing all the major genres of cuisine represented in the city, with special attention paid to restaurants that go the extra mile for less. Dubai specialities such as afternoon tea and brunches were also celebrated.

The winners were selected by a panel of experts who based their decisions on a comprehensive set of eating out reviews conduced over the previous 12 months by Time Out reviewers, who dined out anonymously at hundreds of eateries – from five-star restaurants to neighbourhood cafés.

Mashrabiya Lounge, Fairmont the Palm was awarded Best Afternoon Tea, while Best Brunch went to Traiteur, Park Hyatt Dubai for its unique approach which sees diners able to brush shoulders with chefs in an open kitchen set up.

Buddha Bar, Grosvenor House was given the Best Bar Food award for its high end pan-Asian cuisine and Best Café was awarded to Baker & Spice, Souk Al Bahar for its home-made cuisine comprising organic ingredients.

Qbara, Wafi took the Best Newcomer award for its modern Asian fusion cuisine and impressive multi-faceted venue. Zuma, DIFC achieved Restaurant of the Year for its enduring popularity and ability to stay in vogue. The restaurant was also awarded Best Japanese Winner.
