Nicolas König, managing director at Dubai-based supplier GFS Global tells us what he expects to see discussed at Hotelier’s Executive Housekeeper Forum.
1. Why is it important for GFS to support the Hotelier Executive Housekeeper Summit?
GFS is for a decade a company run by hoteliers for hoteliers. Therefore we wanted to take part in this fantastic opportunity for executive housekeepers to get together. The forum is a perfect platform for them to be recognised for the work that they do. Furthermore, even if houskeepers are not working for the same organisation, they are facing similar challenges, therefore they are best placed to support and assist eachother. Networking is important and cannot be neglected in the 21st century.
2. What are the main topics you think will come up at the forum with regards to operations?
The topics discussed will be beneficial for executive housekeepers themselves and their organisations will gain from their increased knowledge and any new ideas or tips that they learn from the forum to improve operations.

3. What are the latest launches from you?
GFS will continue growth of our strong relationships with most of the hospitality players in the region. We are now working in partnership with some more exclusive international brands in order to offer more variety to our partners. We are always looking to serve the needs of the market in the most efficient and cost effective way.
4. What news can we expect from your company in 2014?
We will continue our efficient services and support to our customers and partners.
In addition to the hotel amenities, accessories and linen, we are focusing on operating supplies and equipment (OS&E) since we have a 10 year partnership with a company that have opened a large section of quality OS&E products.
