Dubai World Trade Centre has appointed Accor HotelServices Middle East to manage the second Ibis hotel at the venue, which will be the largest Ibis hotel in the region when it opens in Q1 2016.

The 588-room hotel was announced back in March, when DWTC awarded British firm Al-Futtaim Carillion the main contract for first phase delivery of the Dubai Trade Centre District (DTCD), a 146,000m² development, including the new hotel.

Construction of the ibis Dubai World Trade Centre District hotel is scheduled to begin in Q2 2014, with completion due in the final quarter of 2015.

As the second ibis hotel at Dubai World Trade Centre, and Accor’s third property near the site, the new ibis hotel brings the number of Accor rooms in the district to 1210.
