Charges have been brought against four men for assault following a fight over a woman at Atlantis, The Palm resort in Dubai, it has been reported.

According to The National, the altercation at a beach party on November 9 saw two brothers from Syria and an Egyptian friend attack another Syrian national after he began speaking to the British woman.

The Dubai Criminal Court heard that the man who was attacked suffered an injury to his left eye, resulting in a 3% permanent disability.

Security guards eventually broke up the fight and all four men were arrested and referred to the port’s police station, where they were all charged with assault.

While the two brothers and the Egyptian friend appeared in court on Sunday to deny the charges, the fourth man was not in court to enter a plea. A verdict is set to be delivered on August 31.
