Four Seasons Hotel Doha has appointed Layne Nguyen as general manager at new restaurant Nobu Doha, which is set to open by the end of the year.

He will be responsible for overseeing operations what is set to be the largest Nobu restaurant in the world, covering 26,000 square feet across three floors.

Nguyen joins from Nobu San Diego in California, where he most recently served as assistant general manager.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Layne to the team at Four Seasons," said Four Seasons Hotel Doha general manager and regional vice president Rami Sayess.

“Through his extensive tenure and in-depth experience, he has played a vital role in the success of Nobu restaurants and will lend this same level of expertise to Four Seasons as we embark on an exciting new culinary chapter at the hotel.”

In addition to his role in overseeing the new restaurant, Nguyen will also be at the helm of recruitment, training and development to continue the leading service cultures of Nobu and Four Seasons

“It is an incredible honour to join a like-minded brand such as Four Seasons and be a part of this strategic landmark as we introduce the very first Nobu to Qatar, as well as to the luxury Hotel’s discerning guests,” he said.

Designed by the Rockwell Group, the new restaurant will have an expansive 192-seat interior dining area, a 10-seat sushi counter, two private dining rooms, and an 82-seat roof top lounge with indoor and outdoor seating options.
