Best Western International has signed a deal with Expedia to distribute its 4000+ hotels aross the online travel company’s network of websites.

Expedia has over 150 travel sites in more than 70 countries and the agreement includes participation in the Expedia Traveler Preference program, which provides users with an option to pay at the time of the booking, or pay the hotel at the time of stay.

The partners will also collaborate to ensure that rates and availability of rooms will be reflected in real-time on Expedia sites.

Best Western International senior vice president of marketing and sales Dorothy Dowling: “Expedia is an incredibly valuable distribution and marketing channel, and we see this new strategic partnership as a great investment to ensure hoteliers can easily and efficiently sell their hotel rooms on their sites.

Best Western's portfolio in the Middle East currently includes three hotels in Saudi Arabia and three in Bahrain, as well as properties in Kuwait and Oman.

It also has eight hotels in Saudi Arabia and one in Bahrain in its development pipeline.
