Media One Hotel has appointed Lynne McGarvey as the hotel’s new training ambassador.
In her new role, McGarvey will directly assis the HR manager and will be responsible for developing a new training strategy for Media One in line with brand standards, implementing training courses, and overseeing training delivery in the individual departments.
McGarvey has more than 10 years’ experience in hospitality management, including HR and development.

Commenting on her appointment, McGarvey said: “Media One Hotel is a strong independent brand that is ideal for me to develop my experience in hospitality and with my passion and commitment I believe I will be able to provide individual training and guidance to build strong and effective relationships with enthusiasts and customers.”
Prior to joining Media One, McGarvey was area manager at Sushi Art Restaurants in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
She has also worked as general manager at Frankie and Benny’s Italian restaurant in Glasgow, before moving to Dubai with Wafi Hospitality as bar and restaurant manager for Carter’s.
Media One Hotel general manager Mark Lee added: “Lynne was selected for this position as she has always displayed a great enthusiasm for the industry. We are pleased she has joined Media One and we are looking forward to her ideas for planning, directing and delivering training and development programmes for all the team.”
