Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Aiman Roujouleh as regional director of sales for the Middle East.

Roujouleh first joined Mandarin Oriental in April 2012 as regional director of sales, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, based in Riyadh.

His remit has been extended to include the whole Middle East region, including Turkey.

Commenting on the announcement, Alison Styles, vice president of sales & marketing for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Europe, Middle East & Africa said: “Aiman’s wealth of experience and understanding of this market, makes him the ideal candidate to position Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s international network of properties as a leading luxury hospitality brand of choice for Middle Eastern travelers”.

In his new role, Roujouleh will focus on building and developing a sales team of six people based in both Riyadh and Dubai.

Prior to his tenure with Mandarin Oriental, Roujouleh was associate regional director of sales for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, based in Saud Arabia.

He has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hospitality) from Les Roches, Switzerland.

A Mandarin Oriental hotel has also been confirmed to open in Dubai in 2017. 

The resort is currently under development and will mark the group's debut in the Middle East. It will feature 200 rooms and suites and 12 over-water villas accessible via a private beach, and with its own infinity pool.
