Saudi-based Al Khozama Management Company will take over the management of its owned assets, Hotel Al Khozama and Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.

The hotels were previously managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, which has had a 20-year-long relationship with Al Khozama.

Additionally, Al Khozama will manage Al Faisaliah Resort at Durrat Arriyadh when it opens at the end of the year, which was initially planned to be managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

Al Khozama Management Company president, Abdul Aziz Al Habib commented: “This announcement was driven by the vision of the Chairman and by the support of the Board of Directors and the investors’ trust.

“It is truly a milestone for this company. We are confident that the company will provide world-class results that will make all of us proud. I would also like to thank Rosewood and I wish them all the best with their future endeavours.”

Al Khozama will be renovating the rooms, restaurants and meeting spaces of both Al Faisaliah & Al Khozama Hotels.

Al Khozama Management Company was established in 1995 and operates Al Shohada Hotel, Makkah and Emaar-owned Bay La Sun Hotel & Marina, King Abdullah Economic City.

In addition to adding Hotel Al Khozama, Al Faisaliah Hotel and Al Faisaliah Resort & Spa, Durrat Arriyadh to its portfolio this year, the company will also manage Al Khozama Residence Al Khobar, when it opens in 2016, and Al Faisaliah Hotel & Spa, Al Khobar, set to open in 2017.

In an exclusive interview with Hotelier Middle East last year, Al Khozama revealed that it is targeting 5000 rooms within major Saudi cities within the next 10 years.
