“With Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates’ refurbishment work currently in its final phase, I am looking forward to finalizing and re-launching what will be one of the finest and most high-performing assets in the Kempinski portfolio,” said Ruddiman.

Most recently, Ruddiman was complex general manager & area manager overseeing Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residence and Jumeirah Creekside Hotel — a role he had held since August 2011.

Before that, he was GM: property openings, where he looked after the pre-opening plan and framework for all new Jumeirah hotel openings worldwide.

Prior to moving to Dubai in 2011, Ruddiman was based in Jordan, where he oversaw the pre-opening planning and coordination for three hotels on the Saraya Aqaba Resort for Jumeirah Group as pre - opening complex general manager.

He has also worked with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in management roles in Germany and South Africa from 2004 – 2007, and held GM roles at two Sun International properties in South Africa before that.

Ruddiman, who joined Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates this month, will be supported by newly appointed director of sales and marketing, Alexander Suski.

Suski will take over the reins from Nasser Fawzi, who joined Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski in Saudi Arabia as executive assistant manager earlier this month.

Suski will be responsible for implementing Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates’ sales and marketing strategy, and leading the dynamic sales professional to achieve the hotel’s business objectives and targets.

He first joined Kempinski in 2012 and has worked with several of the group’s Middle Eastern hotels, including the Kempinski hotels in Egypt, Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel Bahrain City Centre, and most recently, Kempinski Hotel Ajman.

“Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to gain experience in strong and robust markets, and equally challenging ones – both of which forced me to maintain a strong focus on brand strength, profit optimisation and maximising market share. I am pleased to be able to bring this experience with me to Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates,” said Suski,
