Raw Coffee Company has launched the #RAWeducation training programme, which was developed by authorised speciality trainers, Matt Toogood, Kim Thompson and Drew Dennehy.

The team spent the last four months developing the programme under the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) guidelines.

Raw Coffee Company founders Toogood and Thompson have previously siad barista training is one of the main ingredients to making quality coffee, and have invested heavily in certifications, state-of-the-art equipment and training facilities.

#RAWeducation encompasses three individual programmes, each with different courses.

The 'Learn' programme will help participants discover the history of coffee, the basics of coffee making, the journey coffee makes from seed to cup, and much more. The next course is called 'Improve', which is about learning and applying knowledge.

These courses provide trainees with the theory and tools to make better coffee at home and in the cafe environment.

The 'Professional' programme is aimed at those who take their coffee more seriously. From the science behind extraction to financial management and from measuring extraction yields to sensory evaluation, these courses take an in-depth look into every aspect of serving coffee to the highest standard.

The courses include the ability to receive a SCAE coffee diploma.
