Palazzo Versace Dubai, developed in joint venture with Enshaa Group, has finally opened its doors.

No too long ago the property was reportedly struggling to secure finance for the project, amidst the global financial crisis.

Situated by the Dubai Creek, the interiors and furniture have been designed by Donatella Versace. The hotel features 215 rooms.

“Versace is a renowned fashion, luxury and lifestyle Company. Since the very beginning we’ve encompassed many product categories - from clothing to accessories, from luxury goods to the home collection - to convey the uniqueness and iconic style of the brand” said Gian Giacomo Ferraris, chief executive officer of Versace.

The hotel features iconic motifs of Versace, such as the Medusa head, the Greek Key and the house’s prints, with many designs created for the Palazzo Versace Dubai.

The grand lobby features a 1000m2 marble mosaic floor, with bespoke furniture and textiles decorated with peacocks, falcons and horses.

The all-day dining Giardino has marble flooring and columns, with the walls decorated in Versace wallpaper. Meanwhile the Vanitas restaurant is designed to be like a classical Italian palace, with handmade wall decorations featuring the Grottesche Italiane.

Palazzo Versace Dubai will also be home to 169 residences, ranging from one to six bedrooms.

This is the second Palazzo property and joins the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. A third fashion branded hotel will be built in Macau.
