Rixos The Palm, Dubai, and Rixos Bab Al Bahr, Ras Al Khaimah, are the first hotels in the UAE to launch virtual tours in partnership with Google, and claim to be the first hotels in the country to do so.
Using Google Street View, guests can take an in depth look across the entire resort, including the lobbies, restaurants, rooms, beaches, and more.
The new initiative serves as a tool to assist potential guests in the planning stage of their vacation, and make an informed decision.

When users of Google type the name of the hotel into the search engine, they can click on the photographs on the right hand information box and ‘enter ’ the resort - clicking through to the areas they want to explore.
Rixos The Palm general manager Alexander Schneider said: "We are really pleased to have this tool in place and feel that this will revolutionise the hotel booking process.
"As the first in the country to roll this out, we are setting a standard of pre-arrival experience to which we are confident the rest of the industry will aspire."
In addition, the hotel is now bookable through Google.
