Jillian Vose, head bartender, Dead Rabbit NYC shared the secret of why her bar is considered one of the best in the world.
“It’s very important to ensure staff get their days off, and we work five days a week (unlike six days in Dubai). So, if its brought to my attention that a staff member who has done six days the previous week, is about to do so again, I’ll immediately step in and ensure it does not happen,” she said.
Dead Rabbit NYC is regarded as a world-class venue in the bar and nightlife scene. The venue is known to have an elaborate list of cocktails, with the staff often tinkering and experimenting with new ingredients. The staff often tend to a full house every single day of the week.
“It is important to keep your staff engaged in the bar and nightlife industry. We don’t really have a high staff turnover rate and that’s because there are several inititives in place to keep them happy.”
“We do educational and training workshops every month, which is interesting and engaging since everyone is involved in them. Dead Rabbit is very democratic and I always listen to my colleagues, not everything is going to happen. We even go on local field trips to local breweries and distilleries,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Sean Muldoon, co-founder of the Dead Rabbit NYC confirmed that he has no immediate plans for a Dubai outlet.
