Rise of Indian visitors to Dubai sees mid-range property Golden Sands recording more than one quarter guests from the Indian market.

Golden Sands Hotel Apartments receives a monthly average of 25% to 30% of their total hotel guests from the Indian market, according to a recent company statement.

Golden Sands Hotel Apartments general manager Mohammed Khoori said: “The Indian market is in our top three visitors because we offer good value for their money and because of our ideal location thus we are expecting an increased number of guests from this market this year, both from our loyal and new guests,”

Speaking on the latest figures, Golden Sands Hotel Apartments director of sales Nives Deininger added: “Dubai is an attractive destination not only as a stopover or transit point for the Indian travellers, but also as a city with many attractions, such as the Dubai Shopping Festival, Global Village and much more.”

“Additionally, Golden Sands Hotel Apartments is located in Bur Dubai, close to areas such as the Creek, Meena Bazaar, as well as being in an area where there are abundant restaurants offering vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisines so our property is an ideal accommodation for both business and leisure travelers,” said Deininger.

The company statement added that last year’s figure showed a 26% year-on-year jump in Indian visitors to more than 1.6 million arrivals, making India Dubai’s number one source of visitors.
