Kerzner International CEO Alan Leibman has left his role, after 23 years with the company. The hospitality group’s portfolio in the Middle East includes Atlantis The Palm and One&Only hotels.

The news comes following the acquisition of Philippe Zuber as president and chief operating officer for One&Only Resorts at the end of last year.

Leibman commented: “I believe now is the ideal time to turn my attention to other challenges and fulfilling my personal passions. I am confident that the company will continue to flourish through creativity and innovation, delivering the best hospitality and entertainment experience and the highest levels of service in the industry.”

Kerzner has confirmed that a replacement CEO has been found, although Leibman’s successor has not yet been named. According to a statement by the hotel group, His Excellency Mohammed Al Shaibani, executive director & CEO of Investment Corporation of Dubai, and chairman of Kerzner International Holdings, will work closely with the executive team until the new CEO is revealed.

Commenting on Leibman’s departure, Al Shaibani said: “I would like to express my thanks to Alan for his commitment and hard work, and our appreciation of his dynamic leadership and untiring management while at the helm at Kerzner.”
