Grand Hyatt Dubai has appointed Malek Safa as director of sales and marketing.

Safa has previously held several positions within Hyatt Hotels Corporations, the most recent one being DoSM of Hyatt Regency Dubai.

Safa started his career in hospitality in 2002, when he joined Grand Hyatt Dubai’s sales team. Four years later, Safa was named director of catering, and in 2007, he became the property’s director of convention sales.

In 2010, Safa was transferred to Hyatt Regency Toronto, Canada, and he came back to Dubai in 2014 to join the events team of Hyatt Regency Dubai as director of events.

“I am very excited to join Grand Hyatt Dubai. It is one of the iconic properties in the UAE and a prominent presence in the GCC’s hospitality sector. I am honoured to again be part of its prestigious journey”, said Safa.

In his role, Safa will be accountable for leading the hotel’s sales and marketing strategies to maximise revenues.
