Burkhard Wolter has been named as general manager of The Oberoi, Al Zorah, in Ajman.
The Oberoi, Al Zorah, owned by Al Zorah Development Company, is spread over an area of 5.4 million m2.
Speaking on the appointment, Wolter said: “I’ve embarked on an exciting journey with The Oberoi, Al Zorah which will offer guests a hospitality experience like no other in the UAE. The Oberoi, Al Zorah has already been voted one of the top 16 hotel openings to look forward to this year by Vogue magazine.
“Oberoi Hotels & Resorts has also been voted the World’s Best Hotel Brand by Travel + Leisure, and is synonymous, across the world, with providing the right blend of service, luxury and quiet efficiency. I shall ensure the same standards are delivered at The Oberoi, Al Zorah.”

Wolter has been a part of the hospitality industry for over two decades and has worked in the Middle East with the Shangri-La, Kempinski, Le Meridien and the Four Seasons over the last eight years.
Al Zorah Development Company CEO Imad Dana said: “We are very pleased to welcome the Oberoi brand to Al Zorah. We wish Mr. Wolter every success in his new role at The Oberoi, Al Zorah.”
The Oberoi, Al Zorah is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2016.
