How long have you been involved in hotel purchasing?

I started working with Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort since the hotel’s pre-opening in July 2013, which coincides with my time in hotel purchasing.

What specific products are you on the lookout for?

I’m on the lookout for all items related the hotel and its various departments such as food and beverage, housekeeping, rooms and kitchen.

What area of your hotel are you most proud of?

I am particularly proud of our food and beverage outlets.

Tell us about one of your most successful deal?

One of my most successful deals was the renewal of printer contracts with Canon, securing better volumes along with the buy-back on HP printers and better monthly leasing packages offered to us.

What does a supplier have to do to impress you?

It’s important for suppliers to have vast product knowledge especially with products and services they would like to promote. An ethical approach is also important and suppliers who could provide a breakdown of the cost of the product along with its benefits compared to its competitors in the market helps us make a better decision.
