Nemo Acimovic. Nemo Acimovic.

The Millennium Plaza Dubai, located along the Sheikh Zayed Road, has welcomed Nemo Acimovic as its new general manager.

Most recently, Acimovic was appointed general manager in April last year at the Millennium Corniche Abu Dhabi, where he replaced James Robert Wilson who moved on to head the opening of Centara’s premier property in the Middle East and Africa.

Acimovic has more than 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and will be implementing effective strategies to expand market share, increase revenues and enhance guest satisfaction.

The Serbian National has previously managed luxury hotels and resorts in the UK, Australia and the Middle East having worked for companies such as Hilton Hotels and Starwood where he has held roles such as director of food and beverage and deputy general manager of Le Royal Meridien, Abu Dhabi in 2008.

Acimovic said: “Product, service and guest recognition are three pillars that I believe separates a good experience from an excellent one. To be able to anticipate what our guest expects from his stay and to consistently deliver above and beyond those expectations, by recognising each individual guest, is what makes this industry so interesting and challenging.”

He also added: ‘It is always my endeavour to join such a reputable and established Hotel where respect, dedication, development, motivation, empowerment and knowledge shared with my team will be my number one priority. We have an exceptional team at Millennium Plaza Dubai and a very bright future ahead. I look forward to working closely with our team.”
