Seven Tides is currently working on a new resort plan that will be launched on Dubai’s World Islands.

The company’s CEO Abdulla Bin Sulayem revealed in an interview with Hotelier Middle East that no decision has currently been taken on who will manage the property.

“We will not be managing it, we will appoint an operator either one we are already partners with, or we might go with a completely different operator,” Bin Sulayem said.

Seven Tides currently owns the Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, the Mövenpick Ibn Battuta Gate and Dukes Dubai, and is also a shareholder for the recently rebranded Avani Deira.

Bin Sulayem’s latest venture, the Dukes Dubai hotel will open this week after undergoing a soft launch in late December 2016.

Bin Sulayem said there are plans to grow the Dukes brand, and Seven Tides is looking to operate on owners’ behalf.

“We would also like to expand and operate other properties with other owners if there is an opportunity. In the past three years we have been presented with four to five different opportunities and operate other properties under the Dukes brand. But what we want to ensure is that we know who the owner is because we both need to understand what the expectations are. It’s a long-term commitment after all.”
