The Trump family is all set to launch their new mid-market hotel chain called American Idea, after the family encountered "mid-market hotels in small US towns" on Donald Trump's campaign trail, according to a New York Times report.

Donald Trump Jr. said at a news conference at the Trump Tower in New York that the first three American Idea hotels will be in Mississippi in the towns of Cleveland, Clarksdale and Greenville.

A press release announcing the new American Idea brand described it as “a concept rooted in local history and neighborly service” and that the “hotels will be an alternative, for both guests and hotel developers, looking for an answer to the run-of-the-mill offerings currently in the mid-scale space.”

Bloomberg has also reported that the company is planning a new four-star hotel chain called Scion, which is under construction in Mississippi.
