6:15am — I start my day with a large breakfast and a tall cup of coffee. We enjoy having breakfast along with my wife and kids as it gives me a great start to the day.

7:00am —  I leave for the hotel by this time; the commute normally takes me about an hour.

8:00am —  I reach the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai and make my way to the sales office to begin my day.

8:15am — I check through all the figures from last night and all the reports before our briefing.

8:30am — It is time for our morning sales briefing, we run through everyone’s plans for the day and potential business leads we have on the table.

9:30am — I leave the office, and head off to meet some of our clients. I will have about five sales calls during this time all across Dubai.

1:00pm — I return to the Metropolitan Hotel for a lunch meeting and site visit with another client. This is a great way to introduce the clients to the hotel and its facilities — MICE, rooms and F&B.

3:00pm — After lunch I head back to the office to create and send proposals for clients I met in the morning, I also call clients to follow up on the proposals I sent previously.

4:00pm — This is the time in the day I use to target new clients and set up meetings for the next few days.

5:00pm — By this time I have another site inspection at the hotel and show potential clients around the rooms and all five F&B outlets.

6:00pm — It’s time to prepare my plan for the following day, check everything’s in order and check on guests that booked through me — to ensure they have checked-in smoothly and are not stressed about anything.

6:30pm — I’m done for the day! I leave the hotel and head back home.

7:30pm — Once I reach home, I get busy preparing dinner along with my wife, and play with my kids. Lights off is at 10:30pm.
