Six former and current staff members have filed a sexual harassment suit against New York's famous Plaza Hotel.

The New York Post reports that the women claim the hotel has overlooked and neglected the incidents of kissing, groping, and sexual remarks from their superiors and coworkers. The Post also claims that the hotel management "shamed the women when they reported the incidents."

The legal suit says that one of the women allege a "manager cornered and forcibly kissed one of the women in a coat-check closet and shoved his hands down her pants during a performance review."

The Plaza Hotel's operator, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, denied the claims that sexual harassment allegations were ignored, telling ABC News in a statement that "the safety and welfare of our guests and staff is always our highest priority. Any attempt at harassment or discrimination toward our colleagues and guests has not and never will be tolerated."

"We take all claims of harassment or discrimination seriously, take appropriate remedial action where warranted, and do not retaliate against any staff member who raises a claim of harassment or discrimination in good faith."
