Hospitality Management Holding (HMH) has announced the promotion of Haytham Aziz to the role of general manager of Coral Beach Resort Sharjah.
Aziz joined the HMH group in 2014 as executive assistant manager at Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel before being promoted to the position of hotel manager at Coral Beach Resort Sharjah in 2015.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in law from Helwan University in Cairo, Aziz has more than 17 years' experience in the hospitality industry. He joined Starwood Hotels and Resorts in 2003 where he spent more than a decade working his way up the hospitality ladder with the various brands in the group.
The Egyptian national began his career as a guest service agent at the Sheraton El Gezirah Hotel in Cairo before moving to Jolie Ville Mövenpick Golf & Resort Hotel in Sharm-El-Sheikh where he trained as a reservation agent.
Returning to Starwood, he then spent three years at the Sheraton Cairo Hotel, Tower & Casino as front desk shift leader before moving to the GCC, where he was appointed duty manager at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort, and then front office manager at the Aloft Abu Dhabi and the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi. Prior to joining HMH, Aziz was director of guest services at Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates Hotel.
