The Kingfisher Lodge in Khor Kalba, part of the “Sharjah Collection” by South Africa-based Mantis Hospitality, is now welcoming visitors in its soft opening phase.

Situated on the Gulf of Oman coast on the Omani border, the property with mangroves, tidal creeks and beaches is designed to drive eco-tourism with its 25 tents that offer complete privacy to guests.

With open views of the Indian Ocean, each suite also features its own private pool with a wellness spa also situated in its own tent onsite. Dining options are available in-room and in the main dining and lounge area,

Besides The Kingfisher Lodge, the Sharjah Collection is also prepping to open two other eco-hotels, Al Badayer Oasis Lodge and Fossil Rock, later this year.

Al Badayer Oasis Lodge, the largest of the three, was created with adventure in mind, its 19 rooms and 10 tents will offer cultural experiences with activities targeted towards families. Urban amenities including multiple restaurants and an open-air theatre. Fossil Rock is a converted lodge that was originally built in the 60s and can hold up to 10 guests.

The hotels are the result of a partnership between Mantis Hospitality and the Sharjah Investment and Development.
