UK's Millennium & Copthorne Hotels group CEO Jennifer Fox has exited the company after just three months after taking over.

Fox and Millennium & Copthorne "have mutually agreed" she will leave with immediate effect, the company said in a statement. However, reports suggest there was a difference of opinion between her and the chairman and majority owner.

She will be replaced by Tan Kian Seng Millennium & Copthorne Hotels’ group chief of staff as interim CEO.

After taking over on June 19, Fox brought in a group chief marketing officer and a head of human resources. She previously served as president of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and European chief operating officer at InterContinental Hotels Group.

Fox will receive her contractual entitlement of a $1.3m pay-off.

Millennium & Copthorne has 137 hotels with more than 39,000 rooms and has a strong presence in the Middle East.
