As part of its pre-opening campaign to raise awareness of the property’s location, Media One Hotel invited Dubai taxi drivers to visit the hotel in order to get acquainted with its location and sample a freshly baked croissant with a hot cup of tea or coffee.

Working with the RTA, Media One Hotel welcomed almost 700 taxi drivers over a two day period.

RTA director of transport systems Yousef Al Madani welcomed the initiative.

“This initiative allowed our taxi drivers to be included as part of the opening preparations. It was a very nice touch that they were also treated to some welcome refreshments," he added.

Media One Hotel general manager Cora De Conceicao-Stuart said the event was simple, but had made an impact.

“By embracing them as part of our business we really feel that taxi drivers now know who and where we are. So often drivers are coping with identifying new hotels, venues, roads and they cannot expect to know every single location across Dubai without our help,” she said.

Set for a soft opening later this month, Media One Hotel is promising guests a refreshingly new hotel experience.

The property has been designed with the savvy business traveller in mind, and particularly those seeking style, comfort and smart service.
