Movenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach opened its doors today to receive its first customer.

Based in JBR, Dubai, hotel general manager Peter O’Connor said he believed the property added a “new dimension” to the area.

“The Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts brand is all about reliability, consistency and attention to detail and this will be evident in everything we do,” O’Connor said.

“We are confident that this new hotel will do very well here and will attract guests from the local communities as well as from our main feeder markets.”

The five-star hotel with 294 rooms and suites also boasts three outlets including The Talk, a three-pronged concept outlet which offers international cuisine, a built in sushi bar and a poolside lounge complete with cabanas and DJ station.

The West Beach Bistro will serve up a modern twist on old classics in a casual gastro bar, while The Falls lobby lounge will offer fresh coffee and light bites.

Overlooking the infinity pool is a modern gym and spa.
